Given that variations in the environment and the atmosphere posed serious threats to human, animal and plant lives that cannot be neglected. To this effect, the Environment and Climate Unit of LoRDA Research Center conducts and presents reports on current environmental challenges that pose threats to the ecosystem. This unit focuses on conducting in-depth researches on the role of local and international actors in the fight against environment hazards and climatic evolutions. The unit also focuses on exploring approaches that instigate personal and collective effort(s) as basis for climate action, at national and global levels. Another preoccupation of E and Unit is seeking possible solutions to environmental crisis resulting from human activities, and, to present the lapses of institutions in the protection of the ecosystem.
To achieve its goals, the Unit untiringly works with Non-Governmental organizations specialized in environmental protection at community and international levels, as well as students/members of Environmental Clubs in some higher education institutions in Cameroons.
The relevance of the activities of this Unit cannot be underrated, especially with the fact that findings of research conducted under the auspices of this unit can help in creating/reawaking a sense of awareness to individuals, communities, organizations and global climate governance institutions as well as proposing possible solutions to some neglected/recurrent environmental crisis that perpetually posed threats to human safety.
